Before registering, please make sure you can commit to most of the rehearsals and the Dress Rehearsal on Nov. 27, 2023 at 12:30pm, since it is in the middle of a work day. (A small exception may be made for the dress rehearsal for a handful of tenors and basses if we are in need of more parts.)
Pre-registering does not guarantee a place in this multi-faith choir because we have to cap the choir at 150 members and maintain a balance between sections. After everyone who shows interest has pre-registered, we'll send out an e-mail no later than 2 weeks before the first rehearsal letting you know if you've been accepted into the Jenny Oaks Baker Choir! Because this is a professional concert, if someone attending rehearsals is tone deaf, they will not be able to continue to participate in this choir, but there is no audition required.
We hope you enjoy this exciting opportunity! And we do need 150 singers, so please pre-register to participate if you're able!

Jenny Oaks Baker, daughter of Dallin H. Oaks, is a Grammy nominated, professional violinist. She went on a Christmas tour to 10 cities in 2022 and is expanding her tour to 18 cities in 2023, including San Antonio.
The choir performing for the Jenny Oaks Baker concert in San Antonio will be a multi-faith, volunteer choir, capped at 150 members, consisting primarily of adults. Performances are not free to the public and will cost to attend, although there will be a 20% discount for close friends and family of the performers.
Even though rehearsals will be held in a church building, this community choir is not hosted by any church or by the San Antonio Messiah, but is hosted by a group of volunteers who wish to help people in the San Antonio area sing in concert with Jenny Oaks Baker and other professional musicians.
All tickets can be purchased at: www.jennyoaksbaker.com.
